1st - We still have the rat in the kitchen. And it's a rat, not a mouse. Just saw it fly across the kitchen floor and take shelter behind the refrigerator. So, fuck it. I just put down poison in its escape route. Hopefully it will eat the poison, crawl off somewhere and fucking DIE. I still don't know how the hell it's getting into and out of the kitchen.
2nd - I just realized, today, that I've been doing my animal protein on this diet all wrong. I thought I was limited to 8g of animal protein a day, but it's actually 83g of animal protein per day. Which is good because this actually makes it easier for me to eat and I LOVE meat. Even if I have to cook it myself.
3rd - The wifi signal downstairs is ridiculous. I got so pissed about it the other night I went out to the local library and rented a couple of television seasons so I would have something to watch after Jorg comes home. (I give him the upstairs to himself after a busy day at the Store so he can decompress or whatever.) Finished the first season of Killjoys which was meh, and am working my way through Rosemary & Thyme (which is good but the DVDs are kinda jacked) and As Time Goes By. Also, borrowed Da Vinci's Demons from the Store, and finished the first season but have no desire to watch the second.
4th - Been enjoying 'The Gilded Age' immensely. I've liked 'From' quite a bit too, but now they're veering into Lost territory, I think it's probably going to go downhill real quick. 'Astrid & Lilly Save the World' is braincandy, but not particularly engaging. My interest is waning. Watched the first two eps of 'Shining Vale' and I'm out. It's just not working for me. Oh! And finally got a chance to finish 'The Sister Boniface Mysteries' which was charming, although the BBC's diversity guidelines are in full effect in later episodes, which doesn't really mesh that well with the period/tone in my opinion.
5th - The weather here has been terrible. Gray and rainy and cooling off again. Spring is less than two weeks away and it needs to spring already.
