I woke later than my norm today, as the week-end's labors did leave me exhausted. Twas a day of celebrations at Ye Store, and we were well busy all of Saturn's Day. For eleven hours, I strode about the place, attending to the wants and needs of the customers, with little real aid from those the owner had hired for the day. Indeed, those fellows seemed more interested in chattering among themselves like birds or washer-women. Twas most vexing and I shall say something to Master Jorg about it at some point in the future.
The Sun's Day was less robust of trade and I should have told Master Jorg to hie himself home, as there was no need of his presence at the place. And, in truth, he did depart early, which I was secretely most pleased with.
After the day's business was ended, I remained at the store for full two hours to attend to matters of display and organization. Only when I was satisfied did I take my leave, and return to my lodgings in the OverHouse.
The tree-ninja's body continues to lie in the back garden. I think it will be some time before the elements of nature whither it away. I may have no choice but to dismember it with an axe and toss the remains upon the firepit for cremation.
I slept most soundly and woke late in the day, after the noon. When I ventured into OverHouse, to break my fast, Master Jorg and his eldest son were deep in familial conversation and so I did not linger. I procurred some vittles for myself and, on a whim, acquired the Magic Ball and entertained Master Shadow with it in the back yard for a time.
Then, in a manner that is quite unlike me, I returned Outside, to sit upon the old stone slab at the edge of the fire pit and read a book. Eventually, however, the presence of Vile Insects drove me back Indoors and now I sit here scribing the day's events.
Later, I shall venture into the OverHouse and cook my supper,then retreat to my lodgings for the evening and amuse myself with a book or my magicae speculum, until I succumb to Morpheus's embrace.
