I am back on the health bandwagon. For about eight or nine months I watched my sodium and added sugar, and then I fell off the wagon and just went a bit nuts.
Now, as the anniversary of my kidney stone looms, I'm climbinb back on board the wagon.
Yesterday was a success. I ate a bag of corn chips, two bananas, a diet coke and some apple juice. That was 1185 gams of sodium and 0 grams of added sugar.
There is, however, debate as to whether organic apple juice can be considered free of added sugar or, because it comes from a concentrate, if it should be considered added sugar.
I am just going to lodge it in the non-added sugar category for the moment, because my acid reflux has been acting up and apple juice is a good way to get it back under control.
So, that's where we stand.
Usually, I would slack a bit on Tuesdays, considering it a Free Day, but I'm not doing that this month. I won't take a day off from the diet until Halloween.
Hopefully, that won't involve another trip to the ER.
Wish me luck!
