So, things have moved along since the fire ans Xander's part in dispatching the flameling. After a day of rest, he was back to work. The fire and Xander's part in stopping the flame elemental were covered in Mistwater's newspaper, The Salutation. As a result, a lot of folks came by the bakery to catch a glimpse of the 'hero.' Mrs. Frost took advantage of this to sell a ridiculous amount of day-old bread, cookies, etc.
The next day, Kevin West, the servant from Edgestone House appears at the bakery, looking for work. He reveals that Lord Zeal has sold Edgestone House to cover his wife's gambling debts. Kevin reveals that most of the staff have been let go. Looking for work, he thought the bakery might need some extra hands. Xander manages to convince Mrs. Frost to hire Kevin. Afterwards, Xander asks Kevin if he knows who has bought Edgestone House? Kevin replied that the house has been bought by a rich family from Heron Bay named Blackpearl.
