After returning from Frostkeep, Liam joined Ulda Bordis in a new venture. In addition to providing security services, the two will now be operating as 'inquisitives.' Basically, private investigators for those who can afford their services.
They got their first case, which required them to retrieve some stolen letters for a wealthy merchant's wife. The letters were love letters to the lady's lover. *gasp!* They were stolen by a former servant who was basically demanding money for them, or he would turn them over to the lady's husband. So, enter Liam and Ulda Bordis, with instructions to retrieve the letters.
After some debate, it was decided that the safest way to retrieve the letters was to pay the blackmail. Ulda Bordis and Liam were able to track the blackmailer to a tavern in the Red Brick District. There, Ulda Bordis dealt with the blackmailer and things were going quite well. The money was exchanged for the letters and everybody was getting ready to go their seperate ways when Xasha, the orc servant of Lady Uldwig appeared, and got into a knock-down, drag-out fight with Ulda Bordis.
During the fight, the blackmailer got knocked unconscious and Liam relieved him of the blackmail money. Ulda Bordis beat the crap out of Xasha, and she and Liam hightailed it out of there.
The next day, they returned the letters to their grateful client, before retiring to Ulda Bordis's office, in the Court of Ironworkers. Liam revealed he had taken the blackmail money, which Ulda Bordis didn't seem too happy about, and they agreed that they need to find out what the hell is going on with Lady Uldwig. So, they're going to confer with her brother, Lord Uldwig, and see if they can get a line on her.

This session was very light, which was probably good as it's been a while since I had the time/energy to play. Ulda Bordis and Liam branching out into 'detective' work should make things a bit more varied in future, and the whole mess with Lady Uldwig is a nice plot thread to follow. Whether or not it will lead anywhere, I can't say.
But, I feel it's definitely time to shake things up a bit in this solo.
