Hurricane Idareya is drifting up the coast towards us and, with the skies turning leaden, and the winds starting to pick up, I succumbed to peer pressure and bought a loaf of bread and some sandwich fixings at the store. Also, a pint of Creamy Mango Haagen-Dazs. So, if we lose power tomorrow, at least I can eat.
And while I was putting groceries away, I witnessed little Miss Artemis, our female kitty, pop into the liter box, and piss right outside it. She either didn't know or didn't care that she wasn't going in the box. I've got a mat down to catch excess sand they kick out of the box, but it don't do much for urine. Cats. Am I right?
I'm thinking I'll go to the pet store next week and get a liter box with high walls and see if that can contain the poop/piss. My luck? She'll just hang her ass out the opening and let fly. SMH.
