Today, I had a lunch-date with my friend, Josh. Josh and his partner, Stu, moved to Maryland a while back, so I don't see them as often as I would like. Josh was down because his dad just had a stent put in and his folks needed some help around their farm. They have a man who helps, but he was off with his family until this weekend, so Josh came down to do for his folks.
I wore my boots, because it's a farm, and I'm glad I did as I wound up riding a horse. No, that is not a euphamism. I actually went horseback riding for the first time since I was like twelve. Afterwards, we had a light lunch and Josh showed me the horse barn and hijinx ensued.
It was nice, even though hay is a lot itchier than I remember.
I think Josh took the opportunity to unload on me about some of his anxieties, which I didn't mind a bit. He's very sweet and I'm so glad he's finally got his PTSD under control. The doc he's been seeing in Maryland, a specialist in military related PTSD, has been a godsend.
I left around six and came home, where I discovered a pimple starting to form just beneath the skin of my lower lip. I thought Josh had nipped me, but I should have known better. Hoping it breaks the surface soon, so that I can pop it and it can go away before my next date this Sunday evening.
Jorg got home a little while ago and I took Shadow out to throw the ball. Didn't throw it very long, and he decided he was finished pretty soon. Found out from Jorg that the poor boy got sick at the Store, but he seems okay now. He was eating grass in the yard, so I'm thinking he might just have a funny tummy. I wonder if he needs more fibre?
Anyway, sitting in my bedroom now, listening to music and startinig to stiffen up. Tomorrow morning is going to be fun.
