Well, it's been a minute since my last post, but here we go.
Although I remain in Limbo, sort of, I have decided to take advantage of the situation and start decluttering my life.
The other day I packed up a big box of CDs. I like to own my media, but it occurred to me that I don't really listen to CDs any more. So I packed them up and took them to the store for Coworker Ty to take a look at. He's a big music guy and if there was anything in them he wanted, I would have been happy to part with it. But, he decided to take a pass, so I wound up taking the box to 2nd & Charles. They bought all of them, with the exception of six CDs: a Garbage album, a Roxette album, Caviar's eponymously named debut album, a recording of Sondheim's Into the Woods and a collectionf Greatest Hits of the 1980s. So, I've still got some CDs for my car.
I have been mainlining lots of carlife videos lately. I've always been fascinated by the van/carlife phenomena and, if I do wind up living out of my car, at least I'll have a general idea of how tough it could be.
The other day, sort of in anticipation of just such an event, I went out looking for a sunshade for my front window. I couldn't find one that would fit, so today I decided to try and make one myself using strips of posterboard and some Reflectix. It did not go well. So, then I decided to try and make a simple blackout cover for my small windows. That did not go well either. I just couldn't seem to get a proper template of the window. I think I'll try again tomorrow, only this time I'll build a template using painter's tape and notebook paper.
And this weekend, I'm taking some TTRPG books into the Store. It's time to part with them, as I don't really reference any of them. So, now they must go.
