I like Sundays at The Store. It's usually just me and I can listen to whatever music I like and the customers are usually much more easygoing.
Today, I was late getting to the Store and when I got there, it was colder than a witch's tit. The thermostat said it was 55 degrees inside, so I called Jorg and let him know. Naturally, ten minutes after I did that the heat kicked in and the place started to warm up.
I have begun the Great January Book Repricing. I do this every January. I go through the books and, if something has been sitting there for more than 3 years, I cut the price in half. So far, I have finished going through the Military, Nonfiction, Media Tie-In, Star Trek and Star Wars sections. Next weekend, I shall start to tackle the Fantasy/Sci-Fi Section, which is the largest in the Store. I'm hoping the lower prices will get more books moving. *fingers crossed*
Jorg came in today after buying a private collection. It had some truly spectacular comicsin it. Early issues of the X-Men and Fantastic Four, first appearances of Thor, Wolverine, Sabertooth. They were all in insanely good condition. There's a show in town next weekend and Jorg will be working himself into the ground this week to process the collection and get it ready for showing at that show.
Home now, sprawled on the floor, eating snacks and considering a movie. Maybe I'll watch 'Going Postal' or 'The Color of Magic.' I'm in a Terry Pratchet-esque frame of mind.
