So, the Spring Anime Season has begun and, so far, it's not been great.
Most of the new stuff I've checked out has not been good.
"Petals of Reincarnation" didn't grab me, even though the MC is semi-interesting.
"Dead Again, Mr. Detective" wasn't for me. I bailed on that within the first ten minutes.
"Monster Eater" looked interesting, but the animation was awful. Then I realized it was by the same studio that did "Potion, Wagami wo Tasukeru' and understood why the animation was so bad.
I did like 'The Strongest Job Is...An Appraiser(Profivional)!" Although the boob jokes got old fast.
Surprisingly, the only thing that I've really enjoyed so far this week has been the third season of "Reborn as a Vending Machine." Yes, that is the actual premise. A guy gets reborn in a fantasy world as a sentient, magical vending machine.
I haven't checked out everything of course. I tend to avoid certain genres: comedy, high school, slice of life, romance. And there are lots of those out this season. There's a lot of buzz around 'Witch Hat Atelier' and hopefully it lives up to the hype.
