noscans_daily detailing an art expo featuring Kitty Pryde a.k.a. Shadowcat of the X-Men. One of the pics, showed a young Kitty Pryde apparently listening to a Ramones album.
I had a problem with this, 'cause Kitty never struck me as the type of girl who would get into the Ramones. No, I would clock young Kitty as a fan of New Kids On The Block. I can totally see her sitting in the backseat of her parents' station wagon, singing along to I'll Be Loving You Forever.
And that sort of got me thinking. What kinds of music would the other X-Men listen too? Off the top of my head?
Storm would totally be listening to Nina Simone. Rogue, I can see listening to classic Loretta Lynn and, oddly enough, Jessica Simpson. Nightcrawler? The score from The Sound of Music and Gilbert & Sullivan. I have no idea why. Gambit? Zydeco. Wolverine? The Rat Pack. Cyclops would probably listen to something emo, although I can see Scott getting into the Pet Shop Boys as well. Go figure. Professor X obviously listens to Classical music. Colossus doesn't strike me as the type to listen to music. As for Jean Grey? Nancy Sinatra's These Boots Are Made for Walking, with a splash of Tammy Wynette and some 1980s Tina Turner power ballads.
