Y'know, I like to support creative endeavors as much as the next guy, but even I have my limits. Was checking out a couple of websites I haunt the other night and saw a new fan made web series hosted over on *shudder* Vimeo.
So, I popped over and started to watch. I got about fifteen minutes in before I had to close the browser. If I hadn't there would have been a good chance of me shoving my hand through the screen.
It wasn't the CGI sets that set my teeth on edge, or the so-so acting or the plot that was as predictable as anything.
No, it wasn't any of those things.
It was the sound quality.
It was fucking horrible.
So horrible, I had to send an e-mail to the makers and rant about it.
Seriously, if you're going to do a web series and you put a lot of effort into CGI special effects, you should put just as much effort into your sound equipment.
Honestly!
