So, I'm on my way back from the post office for the Job of Doom when I realize that the traffic pattern on my normal route has been changed. They're doing construction on the sidewalk and the city has brilliantly decided to close of two of the four lanes.
Now, I'm all for safety for construction workers, but it would have been nice if the city would have put the lane notices a bit further back than they did. Because of the poor placement, traffic was bottlenecked for about two blocks. I was stuck, sitting in the car for about twenty minutes, when I only needed to go about thirty feet.
Good Lord! I could have walked back to the office in the time I spent stuck in traffic.
Bloody idiotic city planners.
And why on Earth are they suddenly doing all this major road construction this summer? Didn't they have any money for the road work last summer? Or the summer before that? I mean, really!
