So, last night at the Job of Doom before I leave on vacation. It's been hit or miss tonight, with phone calls coming in spurts and then long stretches of silence. Lots of files to be put away, but half the incoming mail wasn't even supposed to come to our address. I swear, sometimes I think our mailman must be blind or just illiterate.
I'm leaving for the airport right after work tonight. I've got my bag and my carryon in the car, which the Job is letting me keep parked in the basement until I return. That means I'm leaving my keys at work, in case someone has to move my vehicle, and I keep noting their absence and having miniscule panic attacks until I realize where they are.
Speaking of my vacation, I checked the weather the other night. It's going to be 80 degrees and rainy back home. Oy vey. And this is in October. What's the world coming to and why can't it come to my neighborhood so I don't have to pay so much for heat???
Honestly, I have no idea what I'm going to do down South after making the family rounds. I'll probably just wind up sitting around, twiddling my thumbs.
At least I'll be home for Halloween. :)
