Oprah Winfrey announced today that she would be ending her popular talk show in 2011. Rumors are circulating that Ms. Winfrey is ending her show to focus on other interests, such as a possible cable channel or expanding her publishing interests.
Personally, given the questionable choices that Ms. Winfrey has made lately, ending her show in 2011 may not be soon enough. I get a strong sense that Ms. Winfrey is starting to disconnect from the typical television viewer's everyday concerns and interests.
Honestly, one way or another, I don't really care. But this is about the only newsworthy thing worth commenting on today.
