So, because of all the typhoon nonsense in the Pacific, we here in Anchorage are experiencing a distinctly unseasonal thaw. With highs in the upper thirties and lower forties, the layer of snow that we had accumulated is slowly melting away. The roads, when I head home, are panes of ice that I crawl along at a stately 30 miles per hour.
