Yesterday, I had a pissy day.
I spent most of it waiting on a heat contractor to show up and install a suction vent in my water heater closet. The appointment was made on Friday and the tech was supposed to show up between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
He never showed up at all.
Instead, he got stalled on another job. Which is fine. Given the nature of contractors, that's understandable.
What I didn't understand was why no one from the business contacted me to let me know the guy was probably going to be tied up all day with another job? I didn't find out until I called their office and spoke with their receptionist, who was very apologetic.
Anyway, they said that my job would be the first one the guy got to today, and to expect him around 10:00 a.m. It's 9:30 as I type this, so the guy's got about a half hour to show up.
If they don't show up today, I'm going to contact another contractor.
I want this shit done.
