Mar. 4th, 2009 06:05 pmPhillip Jose Farmer has died. Well, he died a little while back, but I'm just hearing about it now. How sad. I remember reading the Riverworld books and being completely taken with them, and then the Dayworld books just blew me out of the water. :(
Apparently, a Japanese firm has designed a prototype set of 'bionic trousers.' They're intended to provide walking assistance to people of all shapes and sizes. They got a pretty good review from The Telegraph. Hee.
Some of Mahatma Gandhi's personal effects may be auctioned off some time soon. I didn't know he had any personal effects to auction off. Anyway, it seems some people are taking offense that this may happen. What? They think Gandhi's old tat should be put on display in the Smithsonian or somewhere? Eh.
Finally, I'm completely off my game today. I keep thinking that today is Tuesday, rather than Wednesday. *shakes head* This is why I don't like doing double shifts in the middle of the week.
