Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, here in the United States, and Google has chosen to honor Doctor King with a rather nice image on their search page.
The thing is, the only people who genuinely seem to care about this day are the school kids who get it off and people inconvenience by the government shut down.
I mean, honestly, does anyone sit around and think of Doctor King's message of hope and equality any more? I can't think of a single thing going on today, and I've perused the newspaper, where the local community is doing anything to honor the man's memory or his message.
