Today has been a day.
I got up this morning to take my car to the garage. They had to order a part last week and they were going to install it this morning, but when they got it into the service bay they realized that the part that they got was not the correct part. So they are having the proper part(Fingers crossed!) shipped in and I am going BACK tomorrow morning to hopefully get the whole damn thing sorted.
Then, this afternoon, Jorg bought us a 'new' washing machine. By new, I mean a used one that's been checked and serviced by the guys up the street who have a Very Good Reputation. We put it into the alcove tonight, and ran it through a cycle and it seemed okay, except that a couple of the hoses need replacing. Which I thought wouldn't be an issue, but I was just in my bathroom and heard the thwip-thwip-thwip of water dripping and walked into the alcove to find water on the floor. For some reason, the hoses are still dripping, even though there's no water and I couldn't get to the shutoff valve so had to go upstairs and rouse Jorg and have him come down and turn off the water until we can get those hoses replaced/repaired. So, in short, it looks like I'll still be doing laundry at the Nice Laundromat until the issue is resolved.
Motherfucker.
And Twitter? Well, I'm not even going to talk about Twitter, except to say that I've been on that platform for over 10 years and it's kind of sad, but not surprising, to see it going up in flames. Or is it? No one seems to know for sure.
And now I'm going to take a fucking HOT shower and maybe kill some orcs or something.
