Today, after some false starts, I think I finally found the solution to covering the rear window in my car. Basically, because the glass struts and the rear windshield wiper, I couldn't make a proper stencil, even in parts, for my usual Reflectix/Cloth blackout shades. Then, I decided to try just attaching the black cloth to the rim of the window with magnets. It worked well, but left gaps on the side and at the bottom. So I attached some more magnets. I'm hoping it will work well enough at night to be indistinguishable from tinted windows.
I'm going to do a light test tonight. If the fabric is too light porous, on its own, I can attach black duct tape to the inside for better obfuscation.
Wish me luck! *fingers crossed*
