Back from Virginia and I'm so tired.
The memorial was nice. Sad, but nice. I think we gave Larry a good send-off. Afterwards, some of the old crowd got together and had a minireunion with whiskey shots. I had enough booze to eventually cause a blackout (which hasn't happened since SD 1998) and woke up next to the almost naked 18-year old son of a friend.
I want to stress right now that NOTHING HAPPENED.
Anyway, after the memorial and wake and the get-together and departure, I stopped by my old landlady's house on Sunday evening. I meant to do a quick drop by, but we wound up chatting for three whole hours.
It was nice.
Weirdly nostalgic, but nice.
And now I'm getting ready for bed.
