It's hot as balls here right now but I refuse to run my air conditioner nonstop. Instead, I'm sitting on my living room floor, nearly naked, with the box fan blowing over me. How's that for a mental image? :D
What have I been up to? Um.
I've been gaming every Sunday and really enjoying it. Last night we played Pathfinder Goblins, and, well, let's just say I never thought I'd hear someone say, in that particular public situation, "Okay, go ahead and fist me."
Yeah.
It was pretty much that level of humor all night.
Other highlights of the evening included: the Stinky Finger of Doom and "Should he roll for girth?"
Yeah. Fill in the blanks, ladies and gents.
Fill in the blanks.
On the writing front, I seem to be able to write everything except WHAT I WANT TO WRITE. Honestly. I spent three hours the other day rewriting the same scene.
Finally, I had to channel my inner Elsa and just "Let it go. Let it goooooooo!"
Okay. Sorry. Couldn't resist.
Was watching S2 of Penny Dreadful online, but have stopped and will wait until the whole thing is available on Amazon. Also, pilot episode of Supergirl was mostly disappointing.
Movies. I saw Spy and, although a better vehicle for Melissa McCarthy, it was still nothing spectacular. I have no interest whatsoever in Jurassic World. Not all that interested in Antman either. Mildly interested in seeing Inside Out but I will wait for initial reviews.
Books. I'm spot reading Neil Gaiman's 'Trigger Warning.' Just finished Barker's Scarlet Gospels and was somewhat disappointed with it. Sad to hear there won't be any more Discworld books, but also kind of relieved. I don't think another writer could do the series justice.
Off now, to do other things.
More later! - MEL
