From a job perspective, I hate October.
We're competing with the State Fair and some other stuff for people's hard earned bucks. Also, Halloween looms ahead of us, alongside Halloweenfest which is basically like Free Comic Book Day, but in October.
So, to lure people in, we have sales on the weekends. So far, this year, the results have been lukewarm. At best. Very disheartening.
Also, this week we see the release of X-Men #1 by Jonathan Hickman. So we've got a HUGE bill to pay to Diamond. Another reason we were having this sale this weekend.
We only need to make another $2000 tomorrow to be in the black.
I say that, laughingly, as if it were possible.
Pheh.
Anyway, in the world of things that I CAN control, let's talk about food.
Today, I ate:
1 package of microwave rice
1 small can of chunk chicken breast
1 can of peas & carrots
1 can of very cherry fruit cocktail
2 small bags of potato chips.
Not bad, except for the last, but I REALLY wanted something salty. Altogether, that was about 1500 calories, more or less.
