Here are some things I have seen/read/experienced today:
The new trailer for Netflix's 'Wednesday' dropped. It looks like a Goth Harry Potter and NOT in a good way. I do NOT have high hopes.
Reading about the troubles plaguing the new Amazon LOTR: Rings of Power show and coming to the conclusion that I don't really care about this production. It'll probably be worse than those Hobbit movies, just on a smaller screen with worse actors. Pheh.
Was very tempted to buy the new 5e Spelljammer book, until I realized it was overpriced. Spelljammer is selling for $50 for 192 pages. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything and Mordernkainen's Monsters of the Multiverse sold for $30 each for much more content. And would it kill WoTC to come up with a totally new setting? And, no, the MtG setting do not count.
Someone's doing a Carnival Rowe comic anthology. The art looks nice, but why bother? Carnival Rowe was such a terrible show, even worse than 'The Nevers.'
Still have to finish reading 'What Moves the Dead' by T. Kingfisher. Just found out that she's writing another book, set in America featuring the character of Easton. I wonder? Will she venture into Lovecraft country with this one? Or something else? Looking forward to finding out though.
I need to start doing some promo stuff for FB re next month's Book Sale. We're doing 1/2 off stuff on the shelves and 30% off stuff in the Collectible Cabinet and we're running it all month long. Please, gods of retail, let this sale be a success so I can put some new stuff out on those shelves. Pretty please, with a sacrificial virgin on top?
Oh! Also, if you're looking fo a fun podcast about demons in 1999 masquerading as mall food court employees? Definitely go listen to Brimstone Valley Mall. It was funny as hell and the voice cast was amazing.
