Today started off really nice, but ended a bit crap.
While out and about today, I noticed my car was dragging a bit when I started her. I thought it might be the battery, so I had it checked and, yes, the battery was bad.
But after I left the service station, I went to the library, and when I came out to my car, she wouldn't start. Radio and lights worked, but there was no sound at all when I turned the ignition. My first thought was the damned starter had gone out.
I called Jorg, and he came by and took a look at it, but he couldn't figure it out. So I called AAA and arranged a towe to Midas. But the towe driver was able to get my car started and when he looked under the hood, he was pretty sure my problem was the battery leads. They're the old brass kind that corrode. He thought they weren't drawing charge from the battery.
He got my car started and I drove it to Midas, dropped it off, told the techs what the towe driver thought, then walked home.
Tomorrow, I have to work, so I'm getting up early and catching a bloody cab.
Pheh.
Hopefully, I can get the car sorted soon and be mobile again.
