I got up this morning and voted at my local polling place. There was no line when I went, but the folks manning the place said there was a long line when they opened at 7 AM. A lot of people in my state, about 45% of registered voters according to some sources, voted early. My state has voted Republican since 2000, but I'm hoping that might flip this year. *fingers crossed*

After voting, I did some errands. Unfortunately, after leaving the Mall, I was trying to get into a turn lane behind a big white SUV and accidentally clipped them. I pulled over and the SUV did as well. The driver was very nice, and I was extremely apologetic. Her driver's side tail light was cracked and will need to be replaced, but that was the only damage that we saw. I offered to pay for the damages because it was my fault, and we exchanged names and telephone numbers, but not insurance info. I really don't want to get insurance involved because I know those fuckers will raise my bill. So, fingers crossed that the situation is resolved just between us and that whereever they go to get the light fixed doesn't jack up the price.

Now, I am home, doing laundry and lying on the floor writing this up. I am avoiding the news until tomorrow, and hoping that people won't go nuts if their candidate doesn't win.

Yeah, I'm not really expecting that to happen either.

I'm just going to do this post because I feel like I have to, for whatever aliens find and decode these digital records after we've baked ourselves into extinction. *eyeroll*

Joe Biden dropped out of the race for US President and has endorsed his VP, Kamala Harris, as his replacement.

I'm honestly surprised that he did this, but I can't say I'm disappointed. His performance during the debate with Donald Trump was bad, and I'm making allowances for an 80-something year old man with a speech impediment.

All that said, I think Kamala Harris is going to have challengers at the Democratic National Convention next month.

In my opinion, people just don't like her.

But then, someone pointed out to me that we're actually voting for the 'Administration' not just the front-facing person. So, maybe I will vote for her. I'm definitely not voting for Trump.

And now, back to our irregularly scheduled posts of weird comedy stories about thinly veiled dead celebrities.
