So, I was in that part of the country that got hit by the winter storm this past weekend, but instead of snow we got ice and freezing rain. The roads were super-dangerous, but, amazingly, we didn't lose power at my house. Despite an electrical transformer a block over exploding like a 4th of July fireworks factory. Our lights flickered a few times, but remained functional.

The weather was such a concern that we closed the Shop early on Saturday and didn't open on Sunday. Just as well, since no one was coming in.

I've mostly just been sitting around the house, watching anime. I finally got the chance to finish the last season of DanMachi a.k.a. Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon. Terrible name, but great anime. Now I've only got the final season of Rising of the Shield Hero to finish and I can move on to The Ancient Magus' Bride.

I have been watching the new season of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, but it's weird since they won't have it dubbed until October. So I'm doing the sub version and trying to get used to the Japanese voice actors.

Oh, and I got a summons to serve on a Municipal Court Jury at the end of February. I have a form to fill out and return before then. It's weird that I'm supposed to show up at the place in the late afternoon for jury selection. Gods willing, I'll get this taken care of and be able to get on with my life.

We're supposed to get some slight snow tomorrow and the thought is just incredibly depressing.

I lived in Alaska for 17 years. I have had a lifetime's worth of snow, thankyouverymuch.

To prepare for the possibility, I went out today and did some grocery shopping. Just enough stuff to cover a day or so. The weather should be better - albeit still frigid - by Thursday.

I've been watching a lot of anime lately, which is weird for me as I've never really liked most anime. But I guess I just had to find ones that I liked. Previously, my favorite animes were 'Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex', 'Fullmetal Alchemist' and 'Cowboy Bebop.'

So far, I've watched and enjoyed: Solo Leveling, The Apothecary Diaries, Farm Life in Another World, By the Grace of the Gods, Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions, Tower of God and Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.

God, I hope I'm not turning into an otaku. :(
