Free Day/MLK Day
Jan. 18th, 2021 10:05 pmToday was Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the US. It's a federal holiday, so, technically, that makes it a Free Day.
I did not do much today. Woke up. Showered. Checked Facebook. Went to the Market. Had lunch/supper. Went to the craft store looking for a new chain for a pendant, and the chain I got does not have a clasp. WTF? Really? I did get a really nice purple t-shirt, though. Then off to the mall in NE, to grab some new candles from Yankee Candle Company. Only, they shut down early because of fucking pandemic hours. (I fail to see why businesses that would stay open until 9PM now feel they have to shut down at 7PM. Because we all know they aren't really getting any cleaner in those two hours.) Then wandered the bookstore and wandered some more and eventually came home. Threw the ball for Shadow, then came upstairs where Jorg asked if I would work this Wednesday and Thursday. I really didn't want to, but I said yes because he doesn't ask that often and I do own part of the business and I do feel like I should maybe contribute more. So, I'll be working a five day week. Hurrah. And tomorrow, I'm taking Paul out and about but I'm not lingering because after I'm done with him I have to come home and do laundry and some other stuff I was going to do this week and now I have to get it all done by tomorrow. Fuck.
